Amnesty International Youth Groups had an increadibly successful year in 2010-2011. Youth members raised over €5000, participated in numerous campaigns, and were the largest block at the AGM. The secret? Planning and organisation!

Our Amnesty International College Societies will be holding talks on AI Irelands mental health campaign over the coming weeks.

AI UCD will hold a talk Monday 28th of February at 5pm in meeting rooms 1 and 2 in the Student Center. AI NUI Maynooth will hold a talk at Wednesday 2nd of March at 6pm in Class Hall E, Arts Block, North Campus.

As we’ve seen from the recent events in Egypt and Iran young people are to the forefront of the global fight for human rights. Here in Amnesty International Ireland our youth membership bring huge energy, commitment and drive.

Our Annual General Meeting  - where decisions are taken on the priorities for Amnesty International - is on the 2nd and 3rd of April and we want as many youth members to come as possible.
